Gabe Wing, Vice President of Sustainability at MillerKnoll, said:
"Design isn't just what we make, it's how we make it. From the materials we choose to the energy we use, every decision is an opportunity to live our values. Recognition like this tells us we're heading in the right direction."

Over the past year, MillerKnoll has advanced its sustainability efforts through several initiatives:

  • Renewable Energy & Waste Reduction: All global manufacturing facilities now use 100% renewable electricity, with a commitment to reducing waste across production processes.
  • Sustainable Product Design & Innovation: Classic designs have been reengineered using lower-impact materials and processes, extending product lifecycles while maintaining durability and aesthetics.
  • Innovative Materials & Safe Chemistry: The company prioritises natural, low-carbon, and recycled materials while ensuring products are safe for people and the planet.
  • Smart Packaging & Logistics: Since 2020, MillerKnoll has removed over one million pounds of single-use plastic packaging across operations.

MillerKnoll's recognition follows other recent accolades, including Fast Company's Best Workplaces for Innovators and the Business Intelligence Group's Sustainability Leadership Award, underscoring its commitment to sustainable product design.

Newsweek's America's Greenest Companies ranking, developed with Plant-A Insights Group and GIST Impact, evaluates organisations based on more than 25 sustainability indicators, with the top 500 companies recognised for driving meaningful environmental action and transparency.

MillerKnoll, a global collective of brands including Herman Miller, Knoll, HAY, Muuto, and Design Within Reach, focuses on "design for the good of humankind", combining innovation with insights to align spaces with how people live, work, and gather. In fiscal year 2025, the company generated $3.7 billion in net sales.
