What began as a dream to bring a Belgian furniture line to life, has now become a well-established entity in the international interior and exterior market. From South Africa and Australia to Scandinavia and Asia. And still continuing to grow, so their furniture can create a complete experience in interiors and exteriors worldwide.
Living Concept
With the organic living concept, Gommaire introduces a new style of interior decoration, both indoors and outdoors, for homes, offices, and businesses. The collection includes, not only glass and ceramic items, but also new styles of woven baskets, solid wood chairs and tables, upholstered chairs and sofas, coffee tables, and lighting. Additionally, a varied selection of outdoor furniture made from natural materials such as teak completes the collection.

This is how Pascal Houben, sales manager at Gommaire, describes it: 'With our designs, we tell a story. A story in which timeless, unique, and quality design is the common thread, in which nature plays the role of the protagonist. And in which the individual pieces of furniture, as separate storylines, come together to form a strong, organic total concept.'
'Gommaire is more than furniture. It's an experience. It's a beautiful contrast between creative innovation and traditional craftsmanship. It's about enjoying life in a sustainable, timeless, and exclusive atmosphere.'
Antwerp
We visited Pascal Houben in the showroom in Antwerp. He has been responsible for the sales since the beginning of 2023. Gommaire stands for a total living concept: 70% outdoor products, 15% indoor and 15% decoration items. 'The magic lies in how all three collections strengthen each other and together form a beautiful, organic whole,' says Pascal Houben.
'Our team in Belgium is strengthened by skilled craftsmen who bring our designs to life with skill and passion, using local traditions and the best that nature has to offer from India, Indonesia, Morocco, and Portugal. It is their masterful craftsmanship that brings artisanal charm and authenticity to our collections.'
Maison&Objet
Just before the first wave of Covid19, Gommaire exhibited for the first time at the Maison & Objet fair in Paris. 'Thanks to our participation in this fair, there has been an enormous interest from all corners of the world and our international dealer network has grown enormously. We aim to build a strong dealer network in each export country in the coming years.'
In January 2024, Gommaire will return to Maison & Objet in Paris. 'It's an important fair for us. During the September edition, we present our new designs, and in January we see what resonates. Despite increasing competition, we strongly believe in our own story and our products. It's a unique living concept that we're proud of,' concludes Pascal Houben.
