The Polish development fund, Polski Fundusz Rozwoju (PFR) has released the Polish furniture compendium for December 2023.

Highlights in the compendium
1. Retail sales at constant prices for furniture, electronics, and household appliances in Poland showed a decline in October compared to the same period last year, with a drop of -10.9%. This decrease follows a trend from March 2023, which registered a -15.2% decline.
2. The wage dynamics in the furniture industry in October 2023 surpassed the overall wage dynamics in the business sector.
3. While the annual dynamics of furniture exports from Poland in kilograms remains low, it sustains stability.
4. Despite glimpses of improvement, the situation remains challenging, particularly for smaller entities. There's been an increase in insolvencies among entities in the furniture industry.
