The Grand Hotel holds a significant place in Brighton's history, having opened its doors in 1864. It has weathered events like an IRA bombing during the Conservative Party conference in 1984 and gained pop culture prominence through appearances in shows and films.
An extensive range of items, encompassing everything found in a luxurious Grand Hotel room, was put up for auction by Pro Auction. From beds and lamps to drapery and mirrors, the auction presented an opportunity to acquire pieces that once adorned the prestigious rooms.
The initial auction phase, conducted by Pro Auction, revealed a variety of bids. Further auctions are planned, scheduled to occur every five weeks, with the next phase set to commence in March.
