Tapi Carpets CEO departs after four years at helm

Tapi Carpets bids farewell to its CEO James Sturrock, following a successful tenure spanning four years. Sturrock, previously at the helm of Eve Sleep, ventures into a new role as the CEO of raw pet food provider Bella & Duke.

The retailer confirmed that there are no immediate plans to seek a replacement for Sturrock's position.

Jeevan Kirar, a former Carpetright finance director, has been steering the ship at Tapi Carpets since August last year, taking on the role of Managing Director.

Notably, Martin Harris, founder of the carpet chain and the son of Lord Harris, the Carpetright founder, assumes the position of Vice Chair within the company. Harris, having previously served as an executive at Carpetright, established Tapi in 2015, a year after his father's chain was sold.

Lord Harris remains a key figure within Tapi, offering both investment and advisory support to the company, which has now expanded its footprint to encompass over 150 stores.
