During 2024 Milan Design Week

Servomuto showcases projects that infuse classic lampshade designs with contemporary twist

During 2024 Milan Design Week, Servomuto will welcome visitors to explore its latest offerings in the 'In fondo al cortile a sinistra' (In the Courtyard on the Far Left) exhibition in collaboration with the Gaia Home Project by Gaia Venuti.

Servomuto, renowned for its lighting design expertise and likened to a haute couture atelier, showcases projects that infuse classic lampshade designs with a contemporary, sophisticated, and irreverent twist.

The new Giardino Floor lamp, an extension of the acclaimed Giardino collection, is the spotlight among the exhibits. Drawing inspiration from the eclectic style of the 1950s, with nods to the exoticism of the Far East and the leisurely afternoons of Milan's elite, this floor lamp is offered in three distinct color variations – ivory/pink, white/black, and green/black. Featuring a rattan and fabric lampshade adorned with delicate contrasting trimmings, it rests gracefully upon an elegant oak structure and a sturdy concrete base. Reminiscent of outdoor umbrellas, its volumes, and shapes evoke a serene ambiance, seamlessly integrating outdoor aesthetics with interior spaces.

Alessandro Poli, the driving force behind Servomuto, has entrusted Gaia Venuti with creating an immersive setting for the new products. She is a creative interior designer and the founder of the Gaia Home Project, who, for the occasion, will transform Servomuto's, studio into a captivating home characterized by vibrant hues and a seamless blend of the brand's lamps with assorted furnishings and accessories. From design classics to contemporary pieces, including the whimsical ceramics of Fausto Salvi and the floral compositions of Mario Nobile – OFFFI, the eclectic mix invites guests to immerse themselves in a world of storytelling and possibility.

This dynamic arrangement not only showcases a diverse array of products but also invites visitors to actively participate in shaping their own narratives. Every item on display, from lamps to the smallest furnishings, is available for purchase. It facilitates fluid and ever-evolving installations where visitors play a pivotal role in defining its character and potential.
