Recently, the updated Bloomberg Billionaires Index was announced. This is a ranking of the five hundred wealthiest people on the planet. The list includes Ralph Sonnenberg, former CEO of Hunter Douglas and best known for the Luxaflex brand. He is considered the wealthiest man in the Netherlands, with an estimated fortune of 10.8 billion dollars (9.87 billion euros). According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, he is currently ranked 220th. Sonnenberg inherited the company from his father, a Jewish refugee from Germany in the 1930s, and owned up to recently 80% of Hunter Douglas. However, he sold a significant portion of his shares in February 2022.
