Kriskadecor, headquartered in Montblanc, Spain, specialises in providing custom design solutions with its aluminium links for the contract and hospitality sectors. They recently showcased their latest innovation at the Salone del Mobile Milano, introducing the captivating Weaving collection. Designed by estudi{H}ac JMFerrero, this collection is inspired by the intricate world of textiles and their production methods.
Kriskadecor selected the last edition of Salone del Mobile to unveil the new Weaving Collection designed by José Manuel Ferrero. This collection, drawing inspiration from the fashion world, comprises 14 patterns that encapsulate various methods of interweaving threads to create textiles.
Moreover, it was also the perfect occasion to showcase the various solutions offered by the brand to architects and interior designers. From space dividers to wall coverings and ceiling decorations, as well as different fixing systems like the innovative Feel Free, allowing for the creation of unique spaces through its extendable foot system. In addition to presenting the different types of links available, finishes, and the wide range of colours to customise designs, it also demonstrated the ability to reproduce shapes and volumes in 3D using the chains.
All this took place within a new spatial concept, The Backstage Loom, designed by José Manuel Ferrero himself, paying tribute to textile looms in a captivating fusion of fashion, patterns, and their production process. It introduced a fresh stand concept, inviting visitors into the world of Kriskadecor, where design and new trends are the main narrative. In this visual backstage, each pattern told a story, reflecting the concept behind its design. Thus, the looms became a unique stage where designs and colours took centre stage, complemented by representative elements of each one.
Weaving Collection
The Weaving Collection brings together the technique of weaving links to achieve maximum realism among the new designs. A wide range of customizable proposals where you can combine different colours and textures to achieve very particular results. Herringbone, Denim, Satin, Basket, Chain, Mesh, Waffle, Plain, Rib, Spike, Cardigan, Paisley, Cable, and Crêpe are the 14 new proposals that make up the collection, which also offers 2 colour combinations per pattern.
Kriskadecor's metal fabric
The connection between Kriskadecor and the textile world is no mere coincidence. Since its foundation nearly 100 years ago, the company has maintained a steadfast commitment to innovation and quality. Using aluminium thread as its starting point, through which the brand creates endless chains of links, they provide elegant and versatile solutions in contract and hospitality spaces, adding expressive value to the whole.
Inspired by ancient looms, Kriskadecor has developed in-house technology that enables it to offer a wide range of applications, from large monochromatic surfaces to designs that can include the reproduction of any image or pattern. This process transforms each pixel into a link, offering infinite creative possibilities.
