Villeroy & Boch incorporates Ideal Standard’s March figures for the first time

During the first quarter of 2024, the Villeroy & Boch Group achieved consolidated revenue (including license income) of €277.1 million, marking an increase of €47.8 million or 20.8% compared to the previous year, primarily due to acquisition effects (€229.3 million). The Bathroom Wellness Division reported revenue of €204.1 million in the first quarter of 2024, up by 35.4% compared to the previous year (€150.8 million), mainly due to acquisition effects. New products featuring TwistFlush technology received a positive market response, leading to revenue growth across various business areas, particularly in fittings and ceramic sanitary ware. The division ended the quarter with an operating EBIT of €17.4 million, matching the level of the previous year.

The Dining Lifestyle Division recorded revenue of €72.3 million in the first quarter of 2024, a decrease of 7.0% compared to the previous year. This decline was primarily observed in revenue from retail outlets, influenced by economic downturns in Korea and the US. However, growth in revenue was achieved in e-commerce and at retail outlets. The division concluded the quarter with an operating EBIT of €5.7 million, slightly higher than the previous year, as cost savings offset the downturn in earnings due to revenue development.

The Management Board of Villeroy & Boch AG expects a significant increase in revenue, operating EBIT, and investment for 2024 due to the acquisition. The forecast for 2024 remains unchanged from the one published in the annual financial statements.
