Parador inaugurates new logistics center

The shelves are set up, the offices furnished, the IT infrastructure is in place, and the products are comfortably situated in their new 'home'. German Parador's new logistics centre is ready for operation. After a construction period of less than a year and a setup period of about three months, this mammoth project, one of the largest investments in Parador's history, is complete. The first trees and forests are already growing on the 60,000 m² site.

"The new logistics centre not only provides our organisation with significant added value but also has many positive effects on the regional economy. It lays the groundwork for further growth, leading to the creation of new jobs," emphasises CSCO Lutz Michaelsen, the director responsible for the Supply Chain.

The key arguments for constructing Parador's new logistics centre are efficiency, sustainability, and strengthening the site in Coesfeld. With the new building and the associated centralisation of warehouses, Parador improves the overall efficiency of its logistics and can be much more flexible. Parador's external storage facilities in the area can be closed, reducing about 30% of the previous transports, equivalent to approximately 6000 trips a year.

The official opening celebration of the new logistics centre will take place this summer.
