A look inside The Appuntamento: a new addition to the Roman restaurant scene

The Appuntamento gathers the eclectic and decorative signature of Architect Giorgia Dennerlein. This interior project, with vintage inspirations, invites guests to travel with their imagination. Located in Rome's Art Nouveau Prati district, The Appuntamento by the Loto Ad Project architecture studio feels like being in London or Paris.

Concept and design
The new The Appuntamento approaches the Roman restaurant scene with a clear concept: creating a meeting place suitable for both formal and informal gatherings for a sophisticated and eclectic public. Offering a diversified menu that covers the whole day, it aims to make its mark in a varied neighbourhood that mostly hosts private residences and offices. Architect Dennerlein shapes this unique and highly personalized place, inspired by the travels and passions of the owner. Colours, suggestions, and experiences are condensed into a precious and romantic treasure chest, which, thanks to its cosmopolitan language, connects with the lived and imagined experiences of anyone who walks through its doors.

Style and atmosphere
The vintage, art-deco, tropical, contemporary Parisian-inspired style blends oriental and Nordic accents, creating an entrancing harmony. The Appuntamento is a restaurant, garden, bistro, and lounge: an atelier of wonder. Guests are welcomed by refined floral compositions from Anthea Studio and ceramic objects from Musae Studio, setting the tone with their chromatic imprinting.

Interior details
The interior and the mise en place are adorned with amaranth red, green, and pastel pink, resulting in a feminine and romantic atmosphere characterized by contemporary freshness. This ambiance faithfully reflects its creator, entrepreneur Iole Pizzi. From the small flower atelier, the main space opens up, with the architect's work enhancing the entirety of the space. The lounge area, with comfortable sofas and rattan seats by Gubi and Bonacina, rests on a "carpet" of green majolica tiles, bordered by a pink Roman seminato floor, both by Fioranese. Indoor and outdoor spaces blend thanks to large sash windows, creating natural contamination. A 'jardin d'hiver' allows guests to enjoy mild Roman temperatures and natural light radiating throughout the environment.

Lighting and artwork
Lighting features IL FANALE Pliè brass lamps, FLOS glass bodies, and a hammered golden ceiling, which multiplies the space through a chromatic interplay between materials and objects of varied shades. The art of Irem Incedayi adorns the central wall of the lounge area with majestic birds and exotic vegetation on a silver leaf backdrop, creating a dreamlike mood. Adhesive mirrors on ceilings and walls generate artificial depths, directing light above the entrance and the pink onyx cocktail bar counter, custom-made by Loto Ad Project, along with the buttery behind it. The stools, with precious brass reflections, are by Covet House.

The Appuntamento is a testament to sophisticated design and eclectic style, offering a unique dining experience in Rome's Prati district.
