'With profound dismay, Spectral B.V. received news on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 29, 2024, that the furniture factory "Spectral Audio Möbel GmbH" had to file for insolvency,' Remco Aldenkamp of Spectral B.V. sent to its partners in the Netherlands last week.
'Monday, June 3, all Spectral employees are informed, and an insolvency procedure will commence: this means that all ongoing orders will be produced as usual while exploring the possibility of a restart.
We understand that this raises many questions. However, we still believe that we have enough orders to get through this difficult period, trusting in a restart of the Spectral brand.'
Made in Germany
What started with an idea in 1994 was discovered by the Aldenkamp family in 1997. Since then, the Spectral brand has never left us, and in 2002 it became the foundation for the establishment of Spectral B.V. as an independent distributor.
In recent years, this wonderful Spectral brand has become very successful in the Netherlands and Belgium. Therefore, the dismay within our entire team of dedicated Spectral employees and our family is indescribably great.
Where the German brand Spectral thought it could survive, it seems that 'Made in Germany' is no longer viable in the current economic climate in Germany.
