Here are the finalists for the Swedish Lighting Award competition

The annual Swedish Lighting Award competition aims to highlight the best in lighting design in Sweden, assessing factors such as visibility, aesthetics, function, technology, and environment. The winners will be announced on Light Day, September 3, at the Münchenbryggeriet in Stockholm.

Six projects have progressed to the finals. The finalists include three projects in the exterior class and three in the interior class.

This year's competition maintains a remarkably high standard, with the nominated projects showcasing an impressive breadth of creativity and professional skill. Spread across the country, these projects highlight the diversity and talent within Swedish lighting design.

Finalists exterior:
Hoistingsbron Arpeggio, Gothenburg

The Hisingsbron spans the Göta River, connecting Hisingen to Gothenburg's mainland. The bridge, replacing the former Götaälvsbridge, now stands as a prominent landmark in Gothenburg's cityscape, thanks in large part to its respectful yet vibrant lighting.

Kalix Bridge, Kalix
The Kalix bridge serves as a crucial link on the E4, with accessibility as a top priority. Designed as an inviting gateway to the urban area, the bridge's lighting highlights its significance as a landmark in both large and small scales.

Stora Torget, Eslöv
Stora torg is the heart of Eslöv's city centre, transformed into a vibrant and attractive environment during redevelopment. The lighting enhances the landscape architecture, creating a total experience around the clock.

Finalists interior:
Cirio/ Vildmannen, Stockholm

Advokatbyrån Cirio's new premises at Vildmannen 7 symbolize modern working methods and sustainability. The project combines timeless aesthetics with a modern atmosphere under the concept of 'New archetypes'.

Nelly Flagship Store, Stockholm
Nelly's first physical store at Drottninggatan 50 aims to translate the brand into an inspiring retail experience while respecting the premises' history.

Vyn Restaurant, Brantevik Restaurateur
Daniel Berlin's culinary centre offers breathtaking views of the Baltic Sea. The lighting highlights the local materials and furnishings, enhancing the restaurant's qualities.
