Kitchens come in all shapes and sizes. But what is the kitchen layout most often chosen by Dutch households? Eigenhuis Keukens has the answer to this question: the L-shaped kitchen.
"Corner kitchens are so popular among Dutch households because Dutch kitchen spaces often lend themselves perfectly to a kitchen in a corner arrangement. Because these kitchens are placed in the corner of the room, they take up as little space as possible. Besides being space-saving, corner kitchens are also known for being very practical and having relatively large amounts of storage and work space. In the kitchen pictured below, you can see that extra storage space has been created by using wall units," says Eigenhuis Keukens.
