Sharps Bedrooms, a prominent retailer of fitted furniture in the UK, has finalised the acquisition of Clever Closet, marking another strategic move in expanding its market presence. This acquisition follows Sharps' earlier purchase of Fittingly in September 2023. Founded in 2010 by Paul Jacob, Clever Closet specialises in fully fitted storage solutions for under stairs and lofts.

Kevin Smith, CEO of Sharps Bedrooms, highlighted that Clever Closet had a position as a market leader in under stairs storage solutions, and that he foresaw the acquisition as the opportunity for significant growth opportunities across the UK through synergies between their product lines and distribution channels.
In the fiscal year leading to September 23, Sharps Bedrooms achieved a 6% increase in turnover, amounting to £135 million. This growth was bolstered by a strategic shift towards a digitally-driven sales model, emphasising online shopping experiences over traditional brick-and-mortar stores. Sharps Bedrooms is jointly owned by its management team and Epiris, a private equity firm based in London.
