Minotti opens its first flagship store in Kobe – a cosmopolitan city and the new strategic hub for the luxury and fashion markets. This is the brand's fourth in Japan after Tokyo Court, Tokyo Aoyama and Boutique Aoyama in collaboration with local partner Sukeno.
The two-level showroom is located in the Former Foreign Settlement district, famous for its unique architectural context where Japanese culture meets Western aesthetics, and home to renowned high-end brands.
The concept of Minotti Kobe by Sukeno, conceived and developed by Minotti Studio, is inspired by the minimalism of Zen philosophy and plays on the theme of duality, the coexistence of empty and full spaces, of light and shadow. Like a grand portal, the scenic façade with large floor-to-ceiling windows, created by the interlocking of horizontal and vertical elements, invites visitors to immerse themselves in a refined and elegant atmosphere.
Upon entering, a design path designed with sartorial attention to detail begins, offering an authentic brand experience that enhances the versatility of the furnishing pieces on display, from the latest additions to many of its best-sellers. The exquisite material contrasts used further highlight the settings: boiserie and wengé oak floors alternate with steel and concrete formwork walls, while shades of brown mingle with nuances of grey.
The metal surfaces amplify and embellish the space, creating striking reflections, starting from the bright reception area and extending as far as the staircase leading to the first floor, illuminated by light boxes. Here, the warmth of wood gives way to concrete, revealing original living and night areas interspersed with sliding walls and bathed in natural light, along with a private area for developing interior design projects and a large meeting room, where accents of colour add vibrancy to the ambience.
With the opening of the new Minotti Kobe by Sukeno flagship store, the brand continues expanding its international network, further strengthening its long-standing bond with the Land of the Rising Sun and its local partner, and offering itself as a reference point for an increasingly attentive and demanding clientele, lovers of Made in Italy quality and style.
