Kim Kardashian tries to dismiss Donald Judd knock-off lawsuit

In the ongoing legal dispute involving Kim Kardashian, her designers Tommy and Kathleen Clements, and the Judd Foundation, Kardashian's legal team has filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit brought against her.

The lawsuit originated from a controversial Instagram post in August 2022, where Kardashian mistakenly identified plywood tables in her office as Donald Judd originals, which they were not. This misidentification led to legal action by the Judd Foundation, accusing Kardashian of false endorsement.

Kardashian's attorneys argue that the lawsuit is primarily a publicity stunt leveraging Kardashian's fame, as most of the legal complaints pertain to her designers' actions rather than her own.

Similarly, the Clements Design, also named in the lawsuit, filed a separate motion to dismiss, claiming the Judd Foundation aims to stifle competition and monopolise minimalist furniture aesthetics.
