Villeroy & Boch announces significant reorganisation of the board

Villeroy & Boch, a ceramics manufacturer based in Mettlach, Saarland, announced a significant reorganisation of its Executive Board departments effective from August 1, 2024. This restructuring entails merging the Bathroom & Wellness division of the Board with its subsidiary Ideal Standard acquired in March. The combined entity will be divided into three distinct functional areas: Operations, Sales, and Marketing/R&D/Product Management.

The new structure introduces a Chief Operations Officer for Bathroom & Wellness (COO B&W), consolidating oversight of Operations, Purchasing, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives under one leadership. Georg Lörz, currently a Board member overseeing Bathroom & Wellness, will assume this pivotal role.

Furthermore, new positions of Executive Vice President for Marketing/R&D/Product Management and Executive Vice President for Sales in the Bathroom & Wellness sector will be established under the CEO's purview. Jan Peter Tewes, previously the Managing Director at Ideal Standard, is slated to become the Executive Vice President for Sales in Bathroom & Wellness. Additionally, plans are in place for appointing a Head of Marketing in the near future.

This reorganisation aims to streamline operations, enhance synergies between Villeroy & Boch and Ideal Standard, and optimise strategic focus on core functions within the Bathroom & Wellness segment.
