Norway's manufacturing production shows signs of recovery

In May, Norway's manufacturing production staged a recovery, marking a 1.3% increase from the previous month, which had seen a downwardly revised decline of 5.5% in April.

Several key sectors showed notable rebounds: textiles, wearing apparel & leather rose by 8.4% in May following a 15.4% drop in April; printing & reproduction increased by 1.3% after a 3.5% decrease; rubber, plastic & mineral production saw a 4.1% rise following a 7.7% decline; and fabricated metal products rebounded by 5.5% from a 7% slump. Similarly, computer & electrical equipment, machinery & equipment, ships, boats & oil platforms, transport equipment, and repair & installation of machinery also recorded improvements in production levels for May.
