This follows a notable 23.6% rise from £74.5 million in 2021. Despite this growth, pre-tax profit decreased to £22.3 million from £25.8 million in the previous year, with operating profit margin declining to 22% from 28%.
The company attributed its growth to strategic investments, including £3.4 million in a new Dewsbury factory to launch a handless kitchen range, set to increase cabinet production by 20%. Profitability was affected by downtime for upgrading the main edge banding line at its Sherburn in Elmet facility and ongoing investments in a new manufacturing site in Grimethorpe.
Ultima Kitchens' latest financial report underscores its robust growth trajectory despite temporary operational challenges, positioning itself for continued expansion and innovation in the competitive kitchen furniture market.
