Famous international brands are cautiously resuming operations in Ukraine amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions. Starting with Danish company JYSK and multi-brand retailer Argo in March 2022, several brands like LPP from Poland and Decathlon from France attempted returns, facing interruptions due to security concerns. Adidas opened stores in several Ukrainian cities from July 2022, while McDonald's progressively reopened restaurants, reaching 101 operational by spring 2024.

In a similar vein, H&M resumed operations in November 2023, and Spanish fashion giant Inditex (ZARA and ZARA HOME) reopened stores in April across major Ukrainian cities. Notably, IKEA is also preparing to re-enter the Ukrainian market.
Despite setbacks like the suspension of Decathlon operations after a security incident, these brands demonstrate a gradual recommitment to Ukraine. The reopening of McDonald's outlets and expansion with new stores indicates resilience and a strategic view towards recovery in a challenging market.
