The Manchester Furniture Show is back after 5 years

The Manchester Furniture Show (MFS) officially returned last week, marking its highly anticipated comeback after a five-year break. Running from July 10-11 at Manchester Central, this relaunch brought together buyers and brands from across the UK for two days of networking, inspiration, and summer sourcing.

InteriorDaily attended the event, capturing the excitement and highlights in an exclusive photo report.

MFS is back
Having run successfully for 28 years previously, MFS is back. The organisation has already announced the dates for next year: 6-7 July 2025. And before that, the January Furniture Show from 19-22 January 2025.

Visitors and participants were delighted to see the summer trade show return:
'So happy to be back at the show, I truly missed it and absolutely thrilled to have it back next year. I love the ease of the venue and it's location, the social side, renewing your contacts and discovering new business. MFS gives you an opportunity to fill in the gaps in your warehouse you might have,' Paul Morgan, Director of Hafren Furnishers shares.

'Overall, it's been great to see people all in one place and being local to Manchester has been very convenient for me. It has been really positive and this is a great show to look for newness and trendy products!' says Leanne Coleman, Buying Manager at The Very Group.

'We would like to say a massive thank you for attending and hope you had a fantastic time at the Manchester Furniture Show relaunch! It was a whirlwind of inspiration and we're thrilled you could join us for essential sourcing and networking in the heart of the North,' the organisation of the trade show says.

(Euros) Networking
Perfectly timed at the start of the second buying season, MFS is a good place for mid-year purchases and pre-Christmas sales. Integral to the event were therefore its networking opportunities. The Summer Solstice Show Party on July 10th provided a relaxed setting for visitors and exhibitors to celebrate MFS's return and network casually. It was also an opportunity to watch the Euros together! The talk of the day at the fair. The win for England was a very happy ending of the first day.

On July 11th, the Women in Furniture Network hosted a Leadership Brunch featuring a talk by Melinda Whittington, CEO of La-Z-Boy, who shared her career journey and offered advice for women in the industry.
