The German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) has conducted a thorough evaluation of furniture store chains across Germany. Based in Hamburg, this market research institute assessed various aspects including the competence and friendliness of employees, service offerings, wait times, opening hours, and the cleanliness and design of branches. They also considered customer-friendly extras like delivery and assembly services. The evaluation included a total of 140 interactions with the service departments of these furniture stores.

Based on their assessment, here are the top 10 furniture stores in Germany!

1. Porta leads with 82.5 points, excelling in personalised customer consultations since its establishment in 1965 in Porta Westfalica, offering a diverse range of furniture and home accessories.

2. Höffner secures second place with 80.0 points, renowned since 1874 in Berlin for its tailored advice and added conveniences like catering areas and children's play corners.

3. XXXLutz claims third place with 79.7 points, originating from Austria in 1945 and entering Germany in 1990, known for knowledgeable staff and a wide selection of products often featured in discount campaigns.

4. Möbel Kraft ranks fourth with 79.2 points, established in Bad Segeberg since 1893, providing a comprehensive selection of furnishings for various spaces.

5. Segmüller occupies fifth place with 78.8 points, founded in 1925 in Friedberg, focusing on high-quality furniture and personalised service.

6. Ikea stands at sixth place with 76.0 points, celebrated for its functional and affordable furniture solutions, particularly suitable for smaller spaces and designed for self-assembly.

7. Sconto holds seventh place with 75.4 points, offering budget-friendly furniture and household goods prioritising affordability and customer ease.

8. Mömax takes eighth place with 74.3 points, known for its contemporary and economical furniture and home decor offerings.

9. Jysk secures ninth place with 72.9 points, originating from Denmark in 1979 and in Germany since 1984, acclaimed for its Scandinavian-inspired designs and value-oriented furniture, mattresses, and home textiles.

10. SB-Möbelboss closes the list with 71.7 points, established in 1965 in Barkhausen, specializing in cost-effective furniture known for its accessibility and swift availability.
