One of the island's most iconic spots for the past 20 years, the eclectic concept store Sluiz Ibiza, has been forced to close its doors last week, July 31. The closure was sudden and was supposedly ordered by the Ayuntamiento of Santa Eulalia due to the lack of an activity permit.

The world's wackiest concept store, which is what they call themselves, announced the closure of the store on Instagram last week and asked its followers to come to the store one last time. The closure is 'under extremely weird circumstances' according to the owners and they were given 'inhumanely short notice'.
'An Island, once considered a Paradise, is changing into a dark corporate hole, where only the most aggressive fish has a chance to survive. An Ex-Paradise with little to no space left for being a decent human being. No 1 creative spot on the island, the most original concept store in the world, an independent family company that build everything from the scratch, on their own, without a help of a bigger company, is now closing its doors. No, we haven't done anything extremely unusual, yet we're being kicked out, cold bloodily, with 50 employees standing in awe just as much as us. Whoever has orchestrated this and profiting from such a low business practices - shame on you!' Sluiz Ibiza shares.
