With three manufacturing sites and 230 employees in France, Lafuma Mobilier's joining of the family-owned Peugeot group supports the development of its brand in France and internationally.
Lafuma Mobilier, known for its comfortable, durable, and repairable products, is committed to responsible production with a positive impact. Labelled as a Living Heritage Company (EPV), the brand maintains an emotional connection with its customers, spanning generations. From the metal-framed backpack in 1930 to folding camping furniture in 1954 and the invention of the reclining chair with its famous zero-gravity position, Lafuma Mobilier continues to innovate with a focus on comfort, ergonomics, and functionality.
'Lafuma Mobilier is a family-spirited company that perfectly embodies the values of the Peugeot brand. We were captivated by the expertise and entrepreneurial spirit of the team and share the strong vision of its leaders: sustainable performance in the service of consumer well-being. We are looking forward to integrating the company into the Peugeot family group and building a new stage of their industrial adventure together,' says Christian Peugeot, President of Peugeot Frères Industrie.
The year 2024 is a pivotal year for our brand with the poplar leaf logo, celebrating its 70th anniversary with a special edition of vintage products that are meeting great success. The expansion of ranges to equip the garden, which has become an additional room of the house, and a new e-commerce website with spare parts and replacement fabrics, will support our customers throughout the lifespan of our products.
