Timeless design, exclusive finishes, and bespoke colours define the outdoor spaces of Auberge du Père Bise, located on the shores of Lake Annecy. Situated in Talloires, France, Auberge du Père Bise is a haven for the senses, offering guests and visitors a five-star hotel, two exquisite restaurants – including one with two Michelin stars – a bar, a boutique for gourmet products, and a spa.
The project's final touch was the restyling of the outdoor spaces. The owners, multi-awarded French chef Jean Sulpice and his wife Magali, envisioned a refined, unobtrusive living and dining area that would allow guests to fully appreciate the breathtaking views of Lake Annecy and the surrounding Alps.
Arnaud Charvin from La Pépinière Charvin recommended exploring an outdoor furniture collection that could harmonize dynamically with the natural surroundings. Paola Lenti's furnishings, known for their exceptional performance against the elements and precise aesthetic qualities, were the perfect fit, especially due to their remarkable colour palette.
'The study of the existing architecture and surrounding landscape, the reflections of the lake's water, the colours of the flowers and leaves, guided us in creating the right palette for the site – and the only possible one, because it already existed in nature,' says Paola Lenti.
At Auberge du Père Bise, Paola Lenti furniture defines the function and identity of three distinct outdoor areas: the elegant 'high' terrace hosting the gourmet restaurant and a lounge; the cool, relaxing 'low' terrace at lake level; and the secluded solarium.
Exclusive designs, unique pieces, exquisite craftsmanship, and a blend of colours perfectly match the hues of the lake, mountains, and greenery. The project for Auberge du Père Bise is a testament to the close collaboration between Paola Lenti's design team, the clients, and their architect, showcasing the company's expertise in creating truly bespoke projects.
