The new outdoor collection by Calia Italia, previewed at this year's Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024, revolves around the star piece—the Pralin Outdoor sofa. A joyful and vibrant addition to outdoor spaces, Pralin Outdoor is an adaptation of the indoor model Pralin from the Gourmandise collection.
It can be arranged in various ways to create customised living configurations that can be easily changed over time. It pairs seamlessly with the new Norman Outdoor armchair, available in matching fabrics and colours.
The sofa's base, made of steel and Grigio Ghiaia (Pebble Grey) varnished aluminium (also available in Reseda Green, Matt Black, or Graubraun on demand), features 11 cm-tall feet and has been designed to alternate seats and surface tops functionally. The comfortable seats and backrests, padded with organic polyurethane foam and coated with a special water-repellent and breathable osmotic fabric, extend elegantly above the base. Corner elements, multifunctional tops planked in natural-finish Iroko wood, and terminal Meridian elements ensure maximum flexibility for enjoying a moment of relaxation.
The "island" version, which is deeper than the rest, can serve as a daybed for lazy afternoons spent outside, perfect for resting and reading. The comfort of this seat can be enhanced with optional elements like the armrest and ottoman armrest, which can be freely placed according to the user's preference, and decorative cushions available in mini and maxi sizes. Consistent with the company's sustainability philosophy, every component of the Pralin Outdoor model has been designed for easy disassembly, whether for winter storage or recycling at the end of the product's life.
