SieMatic expands management: Olaf Hoppe put forward

SieMatic is strengthening its management with the appointment of Olaf Hoppe (56). With a degree in Engineering, as well as a generalist with a focus on sales figures and results, he will lead the SieMatic Group as Managing Director / CEO from 19 August. In addition to his engineering background, Olaf Hoppe has commercial expertise and many years of experience as Managing Director and CEO in various national and international trading and manufacturing companies, mainly in Europe, Asia and North America.

'He brings a cosmopolitan approach, the ability to motivate, the capacity for teamwork, social competence, as well as extensive business skills and a broad experience of managerial responsibility gained as CEO for more than 20 years. He prefers a cooperative, value-oriented and decisive leadership style, and values trusting collaborations both within the company and with external partners,' SieMatic informs.

Michael Kersting (CFO) and Axel Maek (COO), the experienced Managing Directors, will focus on their core areas of responsibility, as well as on projects of crucial importance for the further development of the company. A particular priority for the management will be the global repositioning of SieMatic in the premium and luxury segments, as well as the growth-oriented operational and strategic leadership of activities on both national and international levels. The SieMatic management will be supported by an interdisciplinary management team with extensive business and industry experience.

SieMatic Export Director Volker Betsch (60), well versed in the luxury segment and active for SieMatic since 1996 in various senior Sales positions in Hong Kong and Bangkok, as well as since 2020 at the head office in Löhne, will assume overall leadership of Sales as CSO from 1 September, reporting to Olaf Hoppe.

Together with Head of Sales D/A/CH Frank Höschele, Export Director Roy Oldfield, as well as Country Managers and Area Managers in the various markets, the experienced Sales team leads and supervises more than 400 independent sales partners in 75 countries. Despite - or precisely because of - the challenging times currently facing the kitchen and interior design industry, SieMatic continues to acquire new partners and open new studios worldwide. A clear confirmation of the SieMatic brand and the SieMatic understanding of partnership.
