Manufacturer recalls cribs due to entrapment risk

South Shore Furniture Ltd. has expanded its recall of Balka, Yodi, and Dylan cribs due to a significant entrapment hazard. The recall, updated on August 15, 2024, involves various model numbers and order numbers, all of which can be identified on the crib's label located at one end of the crib.

The problem lies in the spacing between some crib slats, which is between 3 mm to 5.5 mm wider than safe limits. This gap creates a hazardous opening that poses a risk of entrapment for infants.

Consumers are advised to immediately cease using the affected cribs and contact South Shore Furniture Ltd. for a refund.
