Belgian bed retailer sells four stores

The four Time2Sleep locations in Asse, Bornem, Geraardsbergen, and Wevelgem (Belgium) will be under new ownership as of September 1, 2024. This was announced by Hans Vandendriessche, the managing director of TTB Holding.

Slaapadvies, the company owned by the Desaever-Bracke family, will take over these shops. The family, which already owns the Sleepworld and Sleepy stores, is thus further expanding its influence in the Flemish market. The acquisition is in line with their strategy to achieve full geographical coverage in Flanders. With this expansion, on top of the already existing 24 Sleepworld branches, the entire Flemish market will be almost completely covered.

Meanwhile, the Vandendriessche family, through their TTB Holding, continues to own the real estate of the Time2Sleep branches. Their focus now shifts to the continued growth of their manufacturing businesses Medalounger, Up2Date and Modulax, which currently operate in 40 countries. To support this growth, the focus will be on strengthening and expanding manufacturing capabilities in Europe, said Hans Vandendriessche.

Both parties see this acquisition as a strategic strengthening that offers new opportunities and growth potential for both Time2Sleep and the Vandendriessche family's manufacturing businesses.
