Founder Carine Pechavy of French Maison Pechavy:

'Have nothing at home that you do not know to be useful or not believe to be beautiful'

Maison Pechavy, a committed French brand, offers original, eco-friendly creations made in France. Founder Carine Pechavy adopts this combination as a motto. Not by chance or to do it right, but driven by an unwavering commitment to create products that are meticulously designed to be useful and elegant.

Proud of her southwestern roots and deeply connected to the authenticity and values of the region, the entrepreneur embraced the task of crafting items that blend functionality and sophistication, all the while aiming to challenge preconceptions about the perceived lack of beauty in eco-friendly products. 'I was raised in a realm where objects serve a purpose. Similar to many people, I appreciate aesthetically pleasing items, yet I have always sought more. William Morris expressed clearly this feeling: "Have nothing at home that you do not know to be useful or not believe to be beautiful".'

Lumiere du Nord Collection
This season, faithful to the desire to honour artistic trends and the love for light, Maison Pechavy has drawn inspiration from 17th century Flemish painting, particularly from Vermeer, and the many codes that make his works beautiful. The soft, rounded lines, the infinite spheres, the always natural light and the atmosphere more than ever frozen in life at home, at the table, in the living room by the window, in a bedroom with neat linen, in the kitchen. Scenes of indoor life, beautiful because they are simple and enhanced by the soft northern light.

Candle holders; magical, chic and timeless
This winter, the candle holders with curved lines tell us a new story. After having been the perfect symbols of a sea tale and the pearls that hide as treasure in the depths, the line of candlesticks, completed by the latest creation called SPHERE, invites itself this time into the collection by drawing inspiration from the works of Vermeer. Distilled here and there in each of his paintings as a signature, a common thread that no one can miss once it is revealed. Curves at will, on furniture, objects, the sphere as a symbol that represents the world. And jewellery, as seen on this young girl that everyone knows.

Left the Galet and Folies 1930 at the right.

Galet
With its rounded lines, the Galet candle holder is part of the new collection and reminds us of the pebble beaches in the Netherlands. Vermeer's Motherland. Where the rough becomes soft, curved by the movements of the water. The light is reflected on its smooth curves and gives it the dimension of a designer object. Reversible, it can be used with a thin candle on one side and a classic candle on the other

Folies 1930
'We could say that he was the only one missing. In this already very complete FOLIES collection, with its three flagship candle holders. More refined, more minimalist, the FOLIES 1930 is added to the timeless pieces of Maison Pechavy. As delicate as it is discreet, it is forgotten under the candle it carries and then gives it a dimension of great elegance. Placed alone or with the other pieces of the collection, it will cross the eras and the seasons.'

The bestseller throw and Cosmic Glass Hurricane.

Throw 100% mohair
Another bestseller from Maison Pechavy is the throw made by Brun de Vian-Tiran. With the desire to always give pride of place to warm shades, comfort and wrapping, it is dressed this season in fire, terracotta and brick colours. Irresistibly warm.

Cosmic glass Hurricane
An original and emblematic creation by Maison Pechavy, the cosmic glass hurricane is one of the key pieces in the Lumière du Nord collection this season. Made of wavy glass, designed to wrap the flame and radiate its brilliance, it diffracts light into rays for a "Wow" result that we never tire of. Bottomless, it rests delicately around the candle holders to bring a touch of elegance with its transparency. On a tablecloth for a festive dinner, on the edge of a fireplace or on a coffee table at nightfall, the cosmic glass hurricane tends to become one of the brand's iconic objects.

Left fine candle box and the scented ceramic candles at the right.

Fine candle box & variation
Among the new products from Maison Pechavy this season, the fine "signature" candles, handcrafted, in trendy and arty autumnal colours. Perfect as a gift, the box with the candles, the illustrated box of matches and two brass adapters.

Scented ceramic candles
For this collection, the ceramic candle is adorned with a khaki enamel. The good news? This time, it comes in two of Maison Pechavy iconic fragrances, Finland and Retour d'Aden. Enough to diffuse a soft trail of woody notes in your interiors for a resolutely warm and autumnal atmosphere.

Finland transports you to the heart of a forest in the far North. A moment of comforting pause. The fire crackles in the brazier. A hot drink with spices nestled in your hands. The woody notes mingle with cardamom. The warmth of the fire unites with the ambient freshness. A contrast full of elegance.

Retour d'Aden evokes the olfactory journey between East and West. The mysterious and intoxicating essences of sandalwood and amber mingle with the refinement of tea smoked with bergamot. A hushed boudoir in the 19th century. The fireplace crackles in an enveloping and reassuring atmosphere.
