Slamp continues its 30th anniversary celebrations with the launch of Fiordlys, a new collection by designer Paolo D'Arrigo. This collection represents the evolution of Slamp over three decades and showcases the company's commitment to innovation in shape and materials.
Fiordlys draws inspiration from the organic forms of nature, such as the Aurora Borealis and Nordic cliffs. The design incorporates a sculptural aesthetic that brings the calmness and freshness of nature into any space with subtle elegance.
The collection features a concentric shell structure that reflects Slamp's 30-year journey through its use of three significant materials: Opaflex with its golden hue, Lentiflex with its ribbed texture creating iridescent effects, and metallised foil producing poetic light and shadow effects. Fiordlys combines contemporary design with traditional glassmaking techniques and is available in three colours: White, Gold, and Silver.
Each piece is handcrafted using a meticulous process similar to haute couture, transforming technopolymer sheets into decorative three-dimensional volumes.
Founder Roberto Ziliani emphasizes that Slamp's enduring enthusiasm and experimental spirit remain at the heart of the company, marked by the recent Compasso d'Oro Career Award.
