To present 'Molteni Mondo: An Italian Design Story

Molteni&C embarks on a journey around the world at Paris Design Week

Following the exclusive worldwide preview held during Milan Design Week 2024, Molteni&C embarks on a journey around the world to present 'Molteni Mondo: An Italian Design Story' in all its main Flagship Stores in the most relevant cities.

During Paris Design Week 2024, Molteni&C will present this monograph dedicated to the identity, history, and values of the company for the first time in France, at the Paris Flagship Store.

The book celebrates 90 years of innovation, design, industry, and corporate culture. Published by Rizzoli New York, it features a cinematic narrative captured by photographer Jeff Burton, editorial care by Spencer Bailey, artistic direction by Studio Achermann from Zurich, an introduction by Jean Nouvel, and a postscript by Jacques Herzog.

The book traces the identity, relationships with architects and designers, history, symbols, and distinctive features of the company, founded in 1934 in Giussano by Angelo Molteni. Today, it stands as an independent global industrial group and a leader in high-end furniture.

'Molteni Mondo' provides an overview of a story centered on 'Made in Italy,' focusing on partnerships with major design figures such as Vincent Van Duysen, Ron Gilad, Jacques Herzog, Jasper Morrison, Jean Nouvel, Tobia Scarpa, and Patricia Urquiola. It explores the Giussano Compound in Brianza, where the company headquarters and community are located, as well as its production processes, technological innovations, craftsmanship, sustainability, significant prototypes, collections, contract projects, and stores worldwide. The book reflects the consolidated yet evolving identity of a managerial but family-owned company that embraces its social and cultural responsibilities as it faces the future.
