The latest trends and highlights at Maison&Objet's September edition!

The latest edition of the Maison&Objet fair in Paris, held from September 05-09, 2024, was a celebration of design, blending the earthly with the cosmic under this year's theme: Terra Cosmos. As always, the event proved to be a hub of creativity, showcasing new ideas that reflect the evolving landscape of decor and interior design trends.

At InteriorDaily, we had the pleasure of attending the fair, where we could see the latest trends and exhibitors. In our exclusive photo report we explore the latest collections, installations and key trends. Check out our photo report to see all the highlights of this year's edition!

Trends
Talking to the exhibitors and exploring the different stands and installations, we discovered some of the key trends this autumn/winter:

  • Mixing styles and materials. Eclectic designs were visible, mixing different styles, colours and materials.
  • A lot of colour! Terracotta shades and pastels were key players.
  • Chrome. Lots of brands showcased new pieces in the metallic shade.
  • The mushroom trend. The 80s were making a come-back at the fair. Nature-inspired shapes, particularly mushroom designs, were seen in everything from lighting to decor.
  • Soft materials. BouclĂ©, linen, and alpaca wool dominated the fabric choices, bringing comfort and texture to interiors.
  • Eco-design and sustainability. Brands are increasingly focusing on eco-friendly materials and sustainable production methods. This was also seen in the fair's installations.
  • Fun decor and statement pieces. Playful, bold furniture and decor items that serve as real eye-catchers.
  • Personalisation and customisation. There was a growing demand for bespoke designs, allowing consumers to tailor pieces to their personal tastes.
