The Arte Group has announced the passing of its founder and visionary, Jean-Pierre Dasart.
'He will always be remembered as the father of Arte, and we are committed to continuing his legacy by building upon the beautiful company he created with the same passion and dedication,' says a formal announcement by Artewalls.
To Jean-Pierre the team says, 'You will never be forgotten.'
Arte was founded by Jean-Pierre Desart in 1981. The company specialises in high-quality, artistic wall coverings. The company is now managed by his sons, Philippe and Steven Desart, and operates in over 80 countries, with offices in the Netherlands, Germany, France, the UK, the US, and Singapore. Arte employs 200 people and generates an annual turnover of 80 million euros.
Under Jean-Pierre's leadership, Arte grew into a world leader in wall decoration, earning him notable awards like the Herman Dessers Prize in 2014 and the Ambiorix Prize in 2020.
