Trilux opens new factory in Poland

Trilux has officially inaugurated its new production and development site in Świdnik/Lublin, Poland, about 160 kilometres southeast of Warsaw. The German market leader in professional lighting has invested approximately 32 million euros in the new facility to expand its production capacity and strengthen its customer proximity and market presence in Eastern Europe. Approximately 250 guests, including employees, management and representatives from politics and business, attended the opening ceremony.

With the new site in Świdnik/Lublin, Trilux is increasing its capacity to develop and produce energy-efficient, sustainable LED lighting solutions to better meet the growing demand. The state-of-the-art facility spans 23,000 square metres and offers a production capacity of up to one million luminaires per year, with a focus on products for office and retail applications.

'The new site highlights the strategic importance of Eastern Europe for Trilux and demonstrates our long-standing commitment to the region. The expansion in Świdnik/Lublin is a central pillar of our global growth strategy and a perfect complement to our production sites in Germany and Spain,' explains Hubertus Volmert, CEO of Trilux. 'With this third plant in Europe, we can respond even faster and more flexibly to local needs and customer demands. Additionally, we are shortening delivery routes and times while strengthening our independence from external factors. These conditions are ideal for further growth.'

Świdnik/Lublin was the chosen location due to its numerous advantages. 'The region offers outstanding infrastructure and excellent access to skilled specialists,' emphasises Piotr Mokrzan, head of the new plant. About 70 employees will initially work in production, administration and product development, with plans to increase the workforce to 250 in the coming months, particularly in production, assembly and logistics.

Trilux's new plant incorporates cutting-edge production technologies that ensure the highest levels of quality and efficiency. With in-house metal and plastic processing, a modern powder coating facility, and flexible assembly stations, the lighting specialist can quickly and precisely fulfil individual customer requests.

In addition to production, the site features over 3,000 square metres of modern office space designed according to the New Work concept. Spacious, open-plan work areas, meeting rooms, lounge zones, and quiet spaces foster creativity and collaboration. A well-thought-out colour scheme, ergonomic office furniture, and intelligent, networked HCL lighting from Trilux promote employees' well-being and create an inspiring and productive working environment. A stylish canteen provides a relaxing space for employees to unwind and network.

The CO2-optimised building complex meets the highest sustainability standards and has been BREEAM-certified. Alongside a photovoltaic system, the site will also feature charging stations for electric cars. The factory premises have been landscaped with native shrubs, a flower meadow and insect hotels to promote local biodiversity.

'Sustainability is a core component of our corporate philosophy. With the new production facility in Świdnik/Lublin, we are setting new benchmarks for environmentally friendly manufacturing and reaffirming our commitment to a greener future,' says Arkadiusz Lewenko, Managing Director Central & Eastern Europe Trilux and Trilux Poland.
