One of Hamburg's iconic furniture stores, shut down its operations in August, marking the end of a 25-year legacy. It has now launched its insolvency sale amid significant crowds. The sale includes furniture, decorative items and home textiles.
Despite access being limited to regular customers so far, the store in Hamburg's City Nord, Die Wäscherei, was very busy over the weekend, resulting in long lines at both the checkout and the restaurant.

In a customer invitation, the team highlighted that this is the last chance to purchase a piece of Wäscherei for one's home, as the company will be closing at the end of the year after more than 25 years.
Die Wäscherei filed for insolvency in mid-May, and by early August, it was clear that continuing the business was not feasible due to a potential investor withdrawing their offer.
