Zara Home withdraws from Swedish market

Zara Home has closed its final store in Sweden, located on Birger Jarlsgatan in Stockholm, as of September 15, 2024. This marks the end of the Spanish home furnishing brand's physical presence in the country. Previously, Zara Home had closed other Swedish locations, including stores in Gothenburg in May 2020 and on Drottninggatan in Stockholm earlier that same year.

The Birger Jarlsgatan store, which occupied 450 square meters in a prime location, had been in operation since 2013. Despite the closure, Zara Home announced that its online store would remain active, allowing customers to continue shopping for home decor and furnishings.

While Zara Home no longer has a physical presence in Sweden, Zara, the parent clothing chain, continues to operate seven stores across the country, including locations in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Uppsala, and Malmö.
