MSC announces new direct shipping line from Asia to Scandinavia

MSC's new 'Swan Service' will connect Gothenburg, Scandinavia's largest port, directly with the global market, featuring weekly departures without transshipment. Starting in February 2025, the service will establish a 40-day transit route between Gothenburg and Shanghai, enhancing the port's role in Sweden's international trade.

This direct line, which includes APM Terminals in Gothenburg, aims to streamline logistics for Swedish exporters and importers by providing faster transport times and reducing reliance on transshipment ports. It is expected to improve access to the Asian market, facilitating smoother logistical operations for various industries.
