Severe flooding across Austria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic has caused significant disruptions to local transport infrastructure, affecting container facilities and supply chains in the region.
German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd has reported that its container depots in the affected areas are experiencing operational delays, which could impact shipments. The company has assured customers that bookings will still be accepted, but delays in container releases should be expected until the situation stabilises.

Kuehne+Nagel, one of the world's leading freight forwarders, provided an update on the situation, noting that the Ostrava terminal in the Czech Republic is now accessible by rail again after being closed due to flooding.
While rail services have mostly resumed in Austria, Kuehne+Nagel warned that the Krems terminal's infrastructure remains uncertain. Local managers have yet to confirm the full passibility of the lines, leaving some routes in Austria still limited.
As companies work to restore operations, the ongoing flooding continues to pose challenges for logistics and transport networks across Central Europe.
