ScS announces mass resignations after Poltronesofà acquisition

Since being acquired by Italian furniture giant Poltronesofà earlier this year, UK-based upholstery retailer ScS is undergoing significant leadership changes, with multiple senior executives resigning en masse.

The board members handing in their notice include commercial director James Heese, along with Marie Liston, Lucy Clough, Gavin Vose, and Dean Weston, responsible for various departments such as corporate services, HR, logistics, and sales. Director of buying Ashleigh Ellis and two additional senior officials are also departing. Although individual confirmations of their resignations were not available, sources within the company and stakeholders have been informed of the mass exodus.

Despite these widespread resignations, Poltronesofà owner Renzo Ricci remains in charge. The resigning leaders will continue in their roles until January 2025 to work through their notice periods.

This wave of resignations comes after previous key leadership exits, including CEO Steve Carson earlier this summer, as well as Phil Geary and Mark Fleetwood.
