From 1 November, Claudia Maurer will start as the new managing director for spoga+gafa. She will thereby succeed Stefan Lohrberg. Claudia Maurer has more than 15 years of experience in executive positions in the field of international trade fairs and project management. She is an expert in the sectors trade fairs, conferences and corporate meetings and holds the title Certified Exhibition Management Professional. Maurer started her career at GE Healthcare and then worked at Messe Frankfurt, where she learnt the versatility of the trade fair and events industry in various positions.
The 47-year-old Maurer has lived in the US for the past 15 years, where she gained relevant project management experience, both on the side of exhibition organisers and with agencies and partners. Most recently, she was Marketing Communications Event Consultant for the pharmaceutical and personal care sectors at Ecolab, a leading global provider of water, hygiene and energy technologies and services. In this role, she was responsible for organising more than 75 events per year in which the company participated.
