Feria Valencia has experienced one of the best openings in recent years for Feria Hábitat València, which opened its doors this week, and runs until the end of the week, alongside Textilhogar Home Textiles Premium and Espacio Cocina SICI. Together, the three events showcase nearly 1,000 exhibitors from 17 countries across 96,000 square meters of exhibition space, equivalent to eight exhibition halls.
This offering has generated significant anticipation in the sector, confirmed by the great turnout of visitors from the outset. According to Daniel Marco, director of Feria Hábitat València, the influx of visitors demonstrates the event's relevance to the industry.
Many visitors were drawn by the unique 'Hotel Hábitat' installation, designed by architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez, which recreates a Mediterranean-inspired hotel with top products from the Spanish habitat industry. The contract furnishing sector, particularly relevant due to a hotel boom (376 new hotels this year and 426 expected in 2025), plays a central role in the fair, highlighted by a conference series organised by the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero.
This year, Feria Hábitat València emphasises two main aspects: a focus on sustainable outdoor furniture and the rise of 'warm minimalism,' characterized by pale, organic colours. Innovations in mattresses allow for fully customized designs, while sustainable materials like jute, wool, and recycled denim are increasingly popular in upholstered furniture.
In home textiles, new collections prioritize sustainability and warm colours, with organic shapes and technological advancements in contract and outdoor textiles. Kitchen furniture is also prominently featured, with intensive use of wood and innovations designed to reduce smoke and odours.
The fairs' official inauguration was attended by dignitaries including Carlos Mazón and Nuria Montes, the Consellera of Innovation, Industry, Tourism, and Commerce.
