After five years of successful partnership, XXXLutz Group has acquired Dodenhof's shares in the joint venture 'XXXLutz Dodenhof'. The home furnishing stores in Posthausen and Kaltenkirchen, previously co-branded under the name 'XXXLutz Dodenhof', will now be fully operated by XXXLutz, ending the co-branding arrangement. Both companies will focus on independently developing their respective brands.

The partnership between Dodenhof and XXXLutz, established in 2019, aimed to strengthen their market presence in northern Germany's home furnishing sector. According to Ralph Dodenhof, managing partner of Dodenhof, the collaboration successfully expanded and future-proofed the WohnWelten stores, enhancing customer appeal and securing a stronger market position in the retail sector.
Going forward, Dodenhof will concentrate on strengthening its own brand as the largest shopping and entertainment destination in northern Germany. The company will continue to operate its Mode & SportWelt (Fashion & Sports World) in Kaltenkirchen, while XXXLutz remains a long-term tenant in Posthausen. The restructuring will not affect existing rental agreements.
Dodenhof plans to sharpen its brand identity and further enhance its unique shopping experience, while managing large retail spaces for fashion, sports, lifestyle, technology, and food in Posthausen. The company also serves as the landlord for over 70 retail partners within its shopping centres.
