Søstrene Grene, the popular Danish retail chain from Aarhus, is set to open its largest store in Denmark on November 8, 2024. The new location, situated on Algade in Aalborg, will span 650 square meters, making it one of the biggest Søstrene Grene outlets in Europe.
This new store will replace the 35-year-old Søstrene Grene located at Nytorv. Mikkel Grene, Group CEO and co-owner of the company, expressed enthusiasm for the move statiing the store at Nytorv was one of the very first they opened outside Aarhus. They couldn't resist the opportunity to expand and offer Aalborg customers Denmark's largest Søstrene Grene.
The grand opening will feature a variety of experiences for visitors, including classical music performances and giveaways, enhancing the sensory experience Søstrene Grene aims to create with its Retail for the Senses concept. This innovative approach incorporates elements like soft lighting, calming colours, and the smell of wood, turning a shopping trip into a serene break from daily life.
With over 300 stores in 17 countries, Søstrene Grene continues its rapid expansion. The retailer plans to grow its footprint to 500 stores globally by 2027.
