Quadrodesign celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021. The very same year, the company began a series of works for the restyling of its building, interiors, outdoor spaces, and wall external facades. The renovations of the office spaces, entrusted to the architectural vision of Studio Wok, a skilful interpreter of the company's philosophy, recreated a domestic and flexible environment that focuses on the quality of work.
For the restyling of the company's headquarters on Lake Orta, Enrico Magistro, Art Director and co-owner, together with his sister Elena, identified Studio Wok as the team of architects who, thanks to their innate spirit of research, would be able to remodel the rooms and transfer the peculiarities of the young and dynamic tapware brand into the interior design.
The last part of the restyling came to its conclusion, with the spatial experimentation of an abandoned electrical cabin located in the company garden; a multifunctional space that can be used for events or as an artist residence.
The renovation and reuse of the abandoned electrical cabin, with its unconventional shape, presents an opportunity for spatial experimentation. A sliding door system blurs the boundary between exterior and interior, creating a seamless connection with the outside. Inside, it houses technical functions like a bathroom and mini kitchen, supporting outdoor activities.
The building's verticality is utilised with two mezzanines linked by metal stairs. The lower mezzanine, made of natural wood, features a bed, while the upper, concrete mezzanine creates a cosy, light-filled space near the roof window.
