A man in his 30s, shot inside a shopping centre in central Sollentuna, north of Stockholm, has been hospitalised. The incident occurred yesterday, October 9 around 11AM, prompting a significant police response and the area was cordoned off for several hours. This news comes after another shooting incident on Sunday afternoon that left a store employee injured at the Kungsmässan shopping centre in Kungsbacka.

Witnesses reported seeing two individuals flee the scene. The victim underwent surgery in the afternoon and is expected to survive. A preliminary investigation for attempted murder has been initiated, but no suspects have been arrested yet. Police spokesperson Mats Eriksson stated that while the physical search has ceased, they are exploring other avenues.
A witness described the atmosphere as tense, recalling people running from the shopping center as emergency services arrived. Another bystander, Lisa Carpevi, who was inside during the shooting, reported chaos among the shoppers as they were evacuated.
This shooting follows a string of violent incidents in the region, including another shooting at a shopping centre in Kungsbacka where two 14-year-olds are suspected of attempted murder.
