A family-owned furniture business in Corby, is set to enter administration for the second time in 18 months. Staff was informed during a meeting on October 9 that it would cease trading. Although formal appointment of administrators has not yet been made, the company's website has been taken down, and suppliers report unpaid bills. The company, Kettle Home, emerged as a successor to Kettle Interiors after its collapse in March 2023.

Kettle Interiors, founded by John and Rhonda Kettle in 2003, went bankrupt with debts of £16 million, resulting in at least 126 job losses. Following this, Kettle Home was established, reopening on the same site and hiring some former employees. Kettle Home acquired £6 million worth of stock for just £2.76 million shortly before Kettle Interiors collapsed, but as of this summer, only £352,000 of that amount had been repaid.
As of now, Kettle Home's warehouse, which the company sold and leased back in 2022, is listed for sale at £7.15 million. Despite ongoing activities at the site, calls to the company have gone unanswered, indicating serious operational difficulties.
