Hannes Hasselrot has been appointed as the new CEO of Nordiska Kompaniet (NK), the popular Swedish luxury department store. He will also lead Hufvudstaden's NK business area, joining the company's group management.

Hasselrot brings extensive retail experience from both Swedish and international markets, having previously held senior positions at companies like Kronans Apotek, Peak Performance, H&M, and Nicole Farhi. Starting his career as a salesperson, Hasselrot has climbed the ranks within the retail sector and is excited to help develop NK into one of Sweden's strongest brands, which includes its two department stores and expanding e-commerce platform. His most recent role was as commercial manager for Oriola Corporation, a Nordic wholesaler of pharmaceuticals and health products.

Anders Nygren, CEO of Hufvudstaden, praised Hasselrot's diverse skill set, highlighting his leadership qualities and expertise in digital commerce as essential for enhancing NK's marketplace and profitability. Hasselrot will officially assume the CEO position by April 2025, succeeding Henrik Lilja, who has served as acting CEO since September 2023.
