Chocolate shop takes over bankrupt Danish retailer's stores

Recently we published news about the bankruptcy of a prominent Danish home retailer, but before it does, Spangsberg Chocolate is opening a pop-up shop in its stores. Retail manager Maria Laursen states that the opportunity to collaborate with the company My Home Møbler, which is holding a clearance sale, is a fantastic chance to launch a holiday pop-up sale.

The new pop-up shop opened this weekend, and will remain open until the end of the year. Customers can find a selection of marshmallow treats, chocolate, fudge, caramel, and holiday sweets alongside the furniture on sale.

Spangsberg will open pop-up shops in eight My Home locations, including Viborg, Holstebro and Randers. This innovative concept combines furniture sales with treats, making this a rather 'bitter-sweet' ending to the popular Danish chain.
